It's kind of inconvenient to create the budget table from scratch every time I work on a new application or project plan, so I created this. Now I can quickly start putting ideas into a table and working out costs - and so can you!
To reduce time spent researching typical / reasonable rates of pay, I've included templates based on the 2025 Artists' Union England ratesheet. I'd love to add some other typical figures - let me know what you'd like to see included here!
The contingency figure of 5% of project costs is based on Arts Council England's guidelines. The insurance figure of 1% is arbitrary -- I'd love feedback on how to produce a better estimate. For both of these, you need to enter the total project cost (i.e. the total amount available, if applying for a commission) as the "price per" figure.
