Research-and-development residency providing space and resources to begin developing a novel soft interface for videogame installations in museums and galleries, using e-textiles and beadwork embroidery.

2019 Interactive Museum of Games and Puzzlery, Portland Oregon USA

Researched portrayals of emotion in tabletop games in a collection of over 4,000 pieces. IMOGAP is an independent museum serving a suburban community on the outskirts of Portland, with a focus on creating space for people to directly engage with playable media.

2018 Creator Ikusei, Tokyo JAPAN

Carried out ethnographic research into transgender issues in Japan, and represented the results in short videogames using Pico-8, a retro game engine made in Tokyo. This led to the Interactive Portraits project, which has subsequently been installed in exhibitions and festivals worldwide.

2017 Orchard Square Making Ways, Sheffield UK

Public installation of a series of original virtual pets using recycled computers in cages, transforming a space formerly used for retail into an exhibition space for videogame-based art.

2016 The Artists' Studio at ROAR, Rotherham, UK

Experimental playable exhibition of recent indie games portraying alternative queer imaginings of nature and life cycles, displayed on recycled computers at the Buzz Gallery, a space frequently accessed by parents of children attending classes at the ROAR arts centre.
